{"apiVersion":"1.0","identifier":"CVE-2026-80723","description":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: of: reserved_mem: prevent OOB when too many dynamic regions are defined On boot, fdt_scan_reserved_mem() saves each dynamically-placed /reserved-memory subnode into a local array of size MAX_RESERVED_REGIONS. If the device tree defines more than MAX_RESERVED_REGIONS dynamically-placed regions, fdt_scan_reserved_mem() writes past the end of the local array. Add a bounds check that logs an error and skips the excess regions, restoring the original behavior.","publishedAt":"2026-08-28T08:16:58","lastModifiedAt":"2026-08-28T08:16:58","sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-80723","cvssScore":null,"cvssVector":"Pending","epssProbability":0.00156,"riskScore":0,"affectedProduct":"Linux kernel","affectedVersions":"unknown","vulnerabilityType":"Kernel","operatingSystems":[],"links":{"self":"https://www.redsauce.net/api/cves/CVE-2026-80723","webPages":{"es":"https://www.redsauce.net/es/cves/CVE-2026-80723","en":"https://www.redsauce.net/en/cves/CVE-2026-80723","fr":"https://www.redsauce.net/fr/cves/CVE-2026-80723","pt":"https://www.redsauce.net/pt/cves/CVE-2026-80723","de":"https://www.redsauce.net/de/cves/CVE-2026-80723","sk":"https://www.redsauce.net/sk/cves/CVE-2026-80723","el":"https://www.redsauce.net/el/cves/CVE-2026-80723"},"source":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-80723"}}
