{"apiVersion":"1.0","identifier":"CVE-2026-80689","description":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing/mmiotrace: Add NULL check for mmio_trace_array in logging functions mmio_trace_rw() and mmio_trace_mapping() retrieve mmio_trace_array into tr and pass it to __trace_mmiotrace_rw() and __trace_mmiotrace_map(). If these functions are invoked while mmio_trace_array is NULL (e.g. before initialization or after disabled), accessing tr->array_buffer.buffer will result in a NULL pointer dereference crash. Fix this by adding an explicit NULL check for tr at the beginning of __trace_mmiotrace_rw() and __trace_mmiotrace_map().","publishedAt":"2026-08-28T08:16:54","lastModifiedAt":"2026-08-28T08:16:54","sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-80689","cvssScore":null,"cvssVector":"Pending","epssProbability":0.00168,"riskScore":0,"affectedProduct":"Linux kernel","affectedVersions":"unknown","vulnerabilityType":"Kernel","operatingSystems":[],"links":{"self":"https://www.redsauce.net/api/cves/CVE-2026-80689","webPages":{"es":"https://www.redsauce.net/es/cves/CVE-2026-80689","en":"https://www.redsauce.net/en/cves/CVE-2026-80689","fr":"https://www.redsauce.net/fr/cves/CVE-2026-80689","pt":"https://www.redsauce.net/pt/cves/CVE-2026-80689","de":"https://www.redsauce.net/de/cves/CVE-2026-80689","sk":"https://www.redsauce.net/sk/cves/CVE-2026-80689","el":"https://www.redsauce.net/el/cves/CVE-2026-80689"},"source":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-80689"}}
