{"apiVersion":"1.0","identifier":"CVE-2026-80687","description":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iommufd/viommu: Release the igroup lock on the vdevice_size error path iommufd_vdevice_alloc_ioctl() takes idev->igroup->lock, then validates the driver-s vdevice_size against the core structure size with a WARN_ON_ONCE. On failure that guard jumps to out_put_idev, below out_unlock_igroup, so it skips the mutex_unlock(), leaving the igroup lock held and deadlocking the next vDEVICE operation on that group. Jump to out_unlock_igroup instead.","publishedAt":"2026-08-28T08:16:54","lastModifiedAt":"2026-08-28T08:16:54","sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-80687","cvssScore":null,"cvssVector":"Pending","epssProbability":0.00166,"riskScore":0,"affectedProduct":"Linux kernel","affectedVersions":"unknown","vulnerabilityType":"Kernel","operatingSystems":[],"links":{"self":"https://www.redsauce.net/api/cves/CVE-2026-80687","webPages":{"es":"https://www.redsauce.net/es/cves/CVE-2026-80687","en":"https://www.redsauce.net/en/cves/CVE-2026-80687","fr":"https://www.redsauce.net/fr/cves/CVE-2026-80687","pt":"https://www.redsauce.net/pt/cves/CVE-2026-80687","de":"https://www.redsauce.net/de/cves/CVE-2026-80687","sk":"https://www.redsauce.net/sk/cves/CVE-2026-80687","el":"https://www.redsauce.net/el/cves/CVE-2026-80687"},"source":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-80687"}}
