{"apiVersion":"1.0","identifier":"CVE-2026-80679","description":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: s390/dasd: Fix potential NULL pointer dereference dasd_release_space() checks the implementation of the is_ese() discipline function before calling it to determine if a given device is an ESE DASD. The current usage of the logical AND operator will lead to a NULL pointer dereference as the function is called even if the function pointer is NULL. Fix this by using the logical OR operator.","publishedAt":"2026-08-28T08:16:53","lastModifiedAt":"2026-08-28T08:16:53","sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-80679","cvssScore":null,"cvssVector":"Pending","epssProbability":0.00176,"riskScore":0,"affectedProduct":"Linux kernel","affectedVersions":"unknown","vulnerabilityType":"Kernel","operatingSystems":[],"links":{"self":"https://www.redsauce.net/api/cves/CVE-2026-80679","webPages":{"es":"https://www.redsauce.net/es/cves/CVE-2026-80679","en":"https://www.redsauce.net/en/cves/CVE-2026-80679","fr":"https://www.redsauce.net/fr/cves/CVE-2026-80679","pt":"https://www.redsauce.net/pt/cves/CVE-2026-80679","de":"https://www.redsauce.net/de/cves/CVE-2026-80679","sk":"https://www.redsauce.net/sk/cves/CVE-2026-80679","el":"https://www.redsauce.net/el/cves/CVE-2026-80679"},"source":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-80679"}}
