{"apiVersion":"1.0","identifier":"CVE-2026-80635","description":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: wcn36xx: fix OOB read from short trigger BA firmware response The firmware response length is only checked against sizeof(*rsp) (20 bytes), but when candidate_cnt >= 1, a 22-byte candidate struct is read at buf + 20 without verifying the response contains it. This causes an out-of-bounds read of stale heap data, corrupting the BA session state. Add validation that the response includes the candidate data.","publishedAt":"2026-08-28T08:16:48","lastModifiedAt":"2026-08-28T08:16:48","sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-80635","cvssScore":null,"cvssVector":"Pending","epssProbability":0.00172,"riskScore":0,"affectedProduct":"Linux kernel","affectedVersions":"unknown","vulnerabilityType":"Kernel","operatingSystems":[],"links":{"self":"https://www.redsauce.net/api/cves/CVE-2026-80635","webPages":{"es":"https://www.redsauce.net/es/cves/CVE-2026-80635","en":"https://www.redsauce.net/en/cves/CVE-2026-80635","fr":"https://www.redsauce.net/fr/cves/CVE-2026-80635","pt":"https://www.redsauce.net/pt/cves/CVE-2026-80635","de":"https://www.redsauce.net/de/cves/CVE-2026-80635","sk":"https://www.redsauce.net/sk/cves/CVE-2026-80635","el":"https://www.redsauce.net/el/cves/CVE-2026-80635"},"source":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-80635"}}
