{"apiVersion":"1.0","identifier":"CVE-2026-78003","description":"The Mailgun for WordPress plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) via path traversal in versions up to and including 2.2.0. This is due to insufficient input validation in the add_list() function, which accepts user-controlled array keys from $_POST[-addresses-], passes them through sanitize_text_field(). This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to make authenticated POST requests to any Mailgun API endpoint using the WordPress site-s API key, including creating inbound email-forwarding routes that can intercept password reset emails, leading to administrator account takeover.","publishedAt":"2026-08-22T09:16:53","lastModifiedAt":"2026-08-25T14:16:55","sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-78003","cvssScore":9.8,"cvssVector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","epssProbability":0.00572,"riskScore":1.03,"affectedProduct":"Mailgun for WordPress","affectedVersions":"<=2.2.0","vulnerabilityType":"Web app","operatingSystems":[],"links":{"self":"https://www.redsauce.net/api/cves/CVE-2026-78003","webPages":{"es":"https://www.redsauce.net/es/cves/CVE-2026-78003","en":"https://www.redsauce.net/en/cves/CVE-2026-78003","fr":"https://www.redsauce.net/fr/cves/CVE-2026-78003","pt":"https://www.redsauce.net/pt/cves/CVE-2026-78003","de":"https://www.redsauce.net/de/cves/CVE-2026-78003","sk":"https://www.redsauce.net/sk/cves/CVE-2026-78003","el":"https://www.redsauce.net/el/cves/CVE-2026-78003"},"source":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-78003"}}
