{"apiVersion":"1.0","identifier":"CVE-2026-74687","description":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: watchdog: at91sam9_wdt: prevent timer rearm during teardown at91_ping() rearms the watchdog timer from its callback. timer_delete() neither waits for a running callback nor prevents it from rearming the timer, so probe failure or driver removal can leave the timer accessing the devm-allocated at91wdt after it has been freed. Use timer_shutdown_sync() on both teardown paths. It waits for a running callback and rejects any attempt by the callback to rearm the timer.","publishedAt":"2026-08-22T16:16:43","lastModifiedAt":"2026-08-25T06:18:51","sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-74687","cvssScore":7.8,"cvssVector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H","epssProbability":0.00127,"riskScore":0.79,"affectedProduct":"Linux kernel","affectedVersions":"unknown","vulnerabilityType":"Kernel","operatingSystems":[],"links":{"self":"https://www.redsauce.net/api/cves/CVE-2026-74687","webPages":{"es":"https://www.redsauce.net/es/cves/CVE-2026-74687","en":"https://www.redsauce.net/en/cves/CVE-2026-74687","fr":"https://www.redsauce.net/fr/cves/CVE-2026-74687","pt":"https://www.redsauce.net/pt/cves/CVE-2026-74687","de":"https://www.redsauce.net/de/cves/CVE-2026-74687","sk":"https://www.redsauce.net/sk/cves/CVE-2026-74687","el":"https://www.redsauce.net/el/cves/CVE-2026-74687"},"source":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-74687"}}
