{"apiVersion":"1.0","identifier":"CVE-2026-74603","description":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ptp: ocp: Fix board ID over-read The EEPROM board ID is a fixed 13-byte field and is not guaranteed to contain a NUL terminator. Passing it directly to devlink_info_version_fixed_put() treats it as a C string and may read beyond the field. Format at most OCP_BOARD_ID_LEN bytes into the existing local buffer before reporting the ID. Use a precision limit because the snprintf() output size alone does not bound the source string scan.","publishedAt":"2026-08-22T16:16:32","lastModifiedAt":"2026-08-25T06:18:36","sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-74603","cvssScore":7.1,"cvssVector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H","epssProbability":0.00126,"riskScore":0.72,"affectedProduct":"Linux kernel","affectedVersions":"unknown","vulnerabilityType":"Kernel","operatingSystems":[],"links":{"self":"https://www.redsauce.net/api/cves/CVE-2026-74603","webPages":{"es":"https://www.redsauce.net/es/cves/CVE-2026-74603","en":"https://www.redsauce.net/en/cves/CVE-2026-74603","fr":"https://www.redsauce.net/fr/cves/CVE-2026-74603","pt":"https://www.redsauce.net/pt/cves/CVE-2026-74603","de":"https://www.redsauce.net/de/cves/CVE-2026-74603","sk":"https://www.redsauce.net/sk/cves/CVE-2026-74603","el":"https://www.redsauce.net/el/cves/CVE-2026-74603"},"source":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-74603"}}
