{"apiVersion":"1.0","identifier":"CVE-2026-72632","description":"Observable Discrepancy (CWE-203) in Kibana Fleet can lead to information disclosure via Excavation (CAPEC-116). Fleet removes the Elasticsearch API key value of an enrolled Elastic Agent from the responses of its agent listing capability, but that capability accepted caller-supplied filter expressions over the stored field that holds the value, and evaluated them with Kibana-s own internal Elasticsearch privileges rather than the caller-s. Because the number of matching agents is reported back to the caller, the difference between a matching and a non-matching filter formed a side channel from which the full API key value could be reconstructed one character at a time with a short sequence of requests.","publishedAt":"2026-08-13T20:17:24","lastModifiedAt":"2026-08-28T15:32:26","sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-72632","cvssScore":7.1,"cvssVector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:L/A:N","epssProbability":0.00247,"riskScore":0.73,"affectedProduct":"Kibana","affectedVersions":"unknown","vulnerabilityType":"Web app","operatingSystems":[],"links":{"self":"https://www.redsauce.net/api/cves/CVE-2026-72632","webPages":{"es":"https://www.redsauce.net/es/cves/CVE-2026-72632","en":"https://www.redsauce.net/en/cves/CVE-2026-72632","fr":"https://www.redsauce.net/fr/cves/CVE-2026-72632","pt":"https://www.redsauce.net/pt/cves/CVE-2026-72632","de":"https://www.redsauce.net/de/cves/CVE-2026-72632","sk":"https://www.redsauce.net/sk/cves/CVE-2026-72632","el":"https://www.redsauce.net/el/cves/CVE-2026-72632"},"source":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-72632"}}
