{"apiVersion":"1.0","identifier":"CVE-2026-72425","description":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ice: fix FDIR CTRL VSI resource leak in ice_reset_all_vfs() Resetting all VFs causes resource leak on VFs with FDIR filters enabled as CTRL VSIs are only invalidated and not freed. Fix by using ice_vf_ctrl_vsi_release() instead of ice_vf_ctrl_invalidate_vsi() which aligns behavior with the ice_reset_vf() function. Reproduction: echo 1 > /sys/class/net/$pf/device/sriov_numvfs ethtool -N $vf flow-type ether proto 0x9000 action 0 echo 1 > /sys/class/net/$pf/device/reset","publishedAt":"2026-08-15T06:22:16","lastModifiedAt":"2026-08-17T06:19:09","sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-72425","cvssScore":7.1,"cvssVector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:C/C:N/I:N/A:H","epssProbability":0.00183,"riskScore":0.72,"affectedProduct":"Linux kernel","affectedVersions":"unknown","vulnerabilityType":"Kernel","operatingSystems":[],"links":{"self":"https://www.redsauce.net/api/cves/CVE-2026-72425","webPages":{"es":"https://www.redsauce.net/es/cves/CVE-2026-72425","en":"https://www.redsauce.net/en/cves/CVE-2026-72425","fr":"https://www.redsauce.net/fr/cves/CVE-2026-72425","pt":"https://www.redsauce.net/pt/cves/CVE-2026-72425","de":"https://www.redsauce.net/de/cves/CVE-2026-72425","sk":"https://www.redsauce.net/sk/cves/CVE-2026-72425","el":"https://www.redsauce.net/el/cves/CVE-2026-72425"},"source":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-72425"}}
