{"apiVersion":"1.0","identifier":"CVE-2026-72052","description":"In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: ip6_gre: require CAP_NET_ADMIN in the device netns for changelink ip6gre_changelink() and ip6erspan_changelink() operate on at most two netns, dev_net(dev) and the tunnel link netns t->net. They differ once the device is created in or moved to a netns other than the one the request runs in. The rtnl changelink path checks CAP_NET_ADMIN only against dev_net(dev), so a caller privileged there but not in t->net can rewrite a tunnel that lives in t->net. Gate both ops on rtnl_dev_link_net_capable() at their top, before any attribute is parsed.","publishedAt":"2026-08-15T06:21:14","lastModifiedAt":"2026-08-17T06:18:03","sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-72052","cvssScore":8.8,"cvssVector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H","epssProbability":0.00169,"riskScore":0.89,"affectedProduct":"Linux kernel","affectedVersions":"unknown","vulnerabilityType":"Kernel","operatingSystems":[],"links":{"self":"https://www.redsauce.net/api/cves/CVE-2026-72052","webPages":{"es":"https://www.redsauce.net/es/cves/CVE-2026-72052","en":"https://www.redsauce.net/en/cves/CVE-2026-72052","fr":"https://www.redsauce.net/fr/cves/CVE-2026-72052","pt":"https://www.redsauce.net/pt/cves/CVE-2026-72052","de":"https://www.redsauce.net/de/cves/CVE-2026-72052","sk":"https://www.redsauce.net/sk/cves/CVE-2026-72052","el":"https://www.redsauce.net/el/cves/CVE-2026-72052"},"source":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-72052"}}
