{"apiVersion":"1.0","identifier":"CVE-2026-49481","description":"UpSnap is a wake on lan web app. Versions prior to 5.4.0 have an OS command injection vulnerability in the UpSnap-s device management functionality due to the presence of unsafe shell command template interpolation using the ip and the mac fields. User-controlled values can be inserted into the wake_cmd and shutdown_cmd templates and executed via /bin/sh -c (Linux) or cmd /C (Windows) without sanitization, resulting in an authenticated Remote Code Execution (RCE). A low-privileged user with permission to create or edit devices can execute arbitrary operating system commands on the UpSnap hosted server. Version 5.4.0 patches the issue.","publishedAt":"2026-08-12T23:17:21","lastModifiedAt":"2026-08-13T18:17:28","sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-49481","cvssScore":9.6,"cvssVector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:N","epssProbability":0.00882,"riskScore":1.04,"affectedProduct":"UpSnap","affectedVersions":"<5.4.0","vulnerabilityType":"Web app","operatingSystems":[],"links":{"self":"https://www.redsauce.net/api/cves/CVE-2026-49481","webPages":{"es":"https://www.redsauce.net/es/cves/CVE-2026-49481","en":"https://www.redsauce.net/en/cves/CVE-2026-49481","fr":"https://www.redsauce.net/fr/cves/CVE-2026-49481","pt":"https://www.redsauce.net/pt/cves/CVE-2026-49481","de":"https://www.redsauce.net/de/cves/CVE-2026-49481","sk":"https://www.redsauce.net/sk/cves/CVE-2026-49481","el":"https://www.redsauce.net/el/cves/CVE-2026-49481"},"source":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-49481"}}
