{"apiVersion":"1.0","identifier":"CVE-2026-4245","description":"The Post Duplicator plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to authorization bypass in all versions up to, and including, 3.0.11. This is due to the `duplicate_post_permissions()` permission callback only verifying the `duplicate_posts` capability without checking whether the requesting user holds `publish_posts` or other status-gated capabilities. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with Contributor-level access and above, to create duplicate posts with `future` (scheduled, auto-publishes) or `private` status, bypassing editorial review. Additionally, the REST endpoint does not enforce administrator-configured post-type duplication restrictions, allowing duplication of post types that have been explicitly disabled.","publishedAt":"2026-08-22T12:16:25","lastModifiedAt":"2026-08-24T20:16:44","sourceUrl":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-4245","cvssScore":4.3,"cvssVector":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:L/A:N","epssProbability":0.00294,"riskScore":0.44,"affectedProduct":"Post Duplicator","affectedVersions":"<=3.0.11","vulnerabilityType":"Web app","operatingSystems":[],"links":{"self":"https://www.redsauce.net/api/cves/CVE-2026-4245","webPages":{"es":"https://www.redsauce.net/es/cves/CVE-2026-4245","en":"https://www.redsauce.net/en/cves/CVE-2026-4245","fr":"https://www.redsauce.net/fr/cves/CVE-2026-4245","pt":"https://www.redsauce.net/pt/cves/CVE-2026-4245","de":"https://www.redsauce.net/de/cves/CVE-2026-4245","sk":"https://www.redsauce.net/sk/cves/CVE-2026-4245","el":"https://www.redsauce.net/el/cves/CVE-2026-4245"},"source":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-4245"}}
